AlumNet is an exclusive, password-protected online community for Saint Anselm College alumni. Once registered for AlumNet, alumni have access to an online alumni directory, discussion boards, subgroups, classifieds, job boards, volunteer opportunities, e-newsletters, event listings and registration, class notes, photos, and many other ways to stay connected and network with your classmates.
What are the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for AlumNet?Please refer our
Terms of Use page for information about using this site. All AlumNet visitors and registered members agree to our Terms of Use when they choose to use and interact with this site.
How do I get access to AlumNet?If you received an e-mail announcement regarding the launch of AlumNet, then your AlumNet ID was included within that e-mail. Your AlumNet ID is also included on the mailing label of mailings you receive from the Alumni Office, e.g.,
Portraits magazine, Reunion brochure, and other event mailings. Your AlumNet looks something like this - AL-xxxx-xxx. You can also contact the Alumni Office at
alumni@anselm.edu and request an AlumNet ID, by providing us with the following information:
- full name (including maiden name)
- mailing address and zip
- class year
- Saint Anselm major
- daytime phone number (in case we need to contact you directly regarding your request)
- daytime e-mail address
Once you locate your AlumNet ID, click the "First Time Login" link at the top of the AlumNet home page and follow the instructions.
How do I update my contact information?Upon first-time login to the site you are asked to update your contact information and provide additional information about yourself. You are always in charge of how much or how little information about you is displayed on the site for other registered Saint Anselm alumni to see.
All subsequent changes to your contact information can be done by logging into the site and clicking the "My Profile" or 'Edit My Contact Info" link located in the upper right corner of your screen and then following the steps as prompted by the site.
How do I find my classmates and how can I contact them?
AlumNet features an "Online Directory" with listings of all known Saint Anselm College alumni. To access the alumni directory you need simply to click on the "Find a Classmate" link in the left, blue navigation column. If you aren't logged into the site, you will be prompted to log in. After logging in, simply enter information into the "Find Member Search."
Based on your search terms, a list of alumni will be displayed on the page. You can click on the person's name to view their publicly available profile or hover your mouse over the icons displayed next to their name and send them a "Instant Note."
If the member has an update-to-date e-mail address on file with the site they will either see your note the next time they log in to AlumNet and/or receive a notice through their e-mail account that they've received a message from you.
How do I submit or read class notes? Click on the "Class Notes" link in the left, blue navigation column. If you aren't logged into the site, you will be prompted to log in to view and/or submit class notes.
Once logged in, simply choose the category that best fits the subject of your class note. All your class note submissions can then be viewed at any time by clicking on the "My Class Notes" link in the top, right corner of your screen.
How to I register or RSVP for an event?Most upcoming events are listed on the AlumnNet home page (
www.anselmalumni.net) or can be found by clicking on the "Events and Programs" link in the left, blue navigation column or by clicking the "All Events" link at the bottom of the events section on the site's home page.
Once you click on an event, simply follow the steps as instructed. If you must register or RSVP for a specific event you will be prompted to do just that.
How do I create a blog?You can create a new blog by visiting your "My Profile" section and clicking on the "Blogs" tab. You can use this same tab in this section for managing your blog.
What is online chat and how do I use it?If you would like to chat with other alumni or friends in real time, you can click on the "Online Chat" link in the blue, left navigation column. On the "Online Chat" page click on the "Open Chat Window" button to start a chat session. A separate browser window will open and load a Java chat applet. In the new chat window, all current users in the chat room are shown. Follow as directed. Please note: You may be prompted to load Java on your computer to run the chat room if you don't already have it installed.
How do I join or create a club/group?Several public and private groups are listed under the "Clubs and Groups" section found through the left, blue navigation sidebar under "Features." Once you are logged into the site, you'll fine all the groups to which you belong under the "My Groups" link located in the upper right corner of your screen.
Some groups are restricted to only those assigned to the group. Other groups require you to request membership. If you don't see a group of interest to you, consider creating a new group and inviting your classmates to participate.
How do I view my friends list?Your friends list is located under "My Profile," which can be found in the upper right corner of your screen once you are logged into AlumNet.
